Refund & cancellation policy
The current Free plan has no charge and public checkout is disabled. These terms explain the policy that applies if a paid subscription is enabled or an existing subscriber needs billing help.
Free access
Schmatz does not collect payment information merely to use the current Free plan. Because there is no Free-plan charge, there is no payment to refund.
Fourteen-day first-charge window
If paid checkout is enabled and you start a new paid subscription, you may request a refund of the first subscription charge within 14 calendar days after that charge. This window applies once per new subscription relationship and does not reset with each renewal, cancellation, plan switch, or later re-subscription.
Send the request through the Billing contact form or email [email protected] from the account email and include the charge date. Approved refunds go to the original payment method through Stripe; bank posting time is outside Schmatz’s control.
Cancellation and renewals
You may cancel a paid subscription from the account billing portal when it is available, or by contacting us. Cancellation prevents the next automatic renewal and access normally continues through the end of the paid billing period. Except for the first-charge window above or where required by law, unused time is not prorated or refunded.
Exceptions
We may deny a request involving fraud, chargeback abuse, or a material violation of the Terms of Service. Nothing in this policy limits a non-waivable right under applicable law. If the checkout screen states a more favorable refund term for a particular offer, that displayed term controls for that purchase.
Billing errors
Report a duplicate, incorrect, or unrecognized charge promptly. We will investigate against the account and Stripe event record. Do not send a full card number, security code, or bank credential.
