Do not sell or share my personal information
The short version: we don’t. Schmatz does not sell personal information, does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and never has. This page exists so California residents (and everyone else) have a dedicated place to see that stated and to submit a request.
Our practice
Schmatz does not sell personal information within the meaning of the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (“CPRA”), and does not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We run no advertising, no third-party advertising analytics, and no data-broker relationships. Service providers process limited information for email, optional Google sign-in, AI-assisted research, infrastructure, backups, and Stripe billing if payments apply. Those operational disclosures are described in the privacy policy; they are not sales or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is currently no sale or sharing to opt out of. If that practice ever changed, we would update this page, the privacy policy, and notify active users before any change took effect.
Your California rights
Schmatz does not currently meet the CCPA’s statutory coverage thresholds, but we extend these rights to California residents as a matter of practice — the full list is in the privacy policy’s California section: the right to know, access, delete, and correct your personal information; the right to opt out of sale or sharing (nothing to opt out of today); the right to limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not knowingly collect any); and the right to non-discrimination for exercising any of them.
Submit a request
Use the contact form with the Privacy category — no account required — or email [email protected]. Account holders can also export or delete their data directly from Settings → Data & Privacy. We verify requests against the email on file. If the CCPA applies, we respond within 45 calendar days and may extend that period as the law permits after notice.
